Introduction
Welcome to the wonderful word of radiology management. The purpose of this little blog will be to keep track of thoughts, experiences and other such events along the way of running a medium size radiology department.
I am in charge of a brand new department doing about 250 procedures a day made up of every modality except for Interventional. We are also a completely new hospital only open since December. Given this "newness" we are still working out the bugs so to speak with everything from our processes, after-hours coverage, outpatient procedures mixed with inpatient procedures, etc. There are lots of challenges to say the least.
This log will be my journal as I work through this wonderful opportunity.
